Testing
Test product-page changes before publishing.
Product-page behavior should be checked on a development theme before it reaches shoppers.
Use A Safe Theme
Duplicate the current theme or use a development theme. Add app blocks and settings there first, then preview product pages with available and unavailable variants.
Check Real Products
Use products with multiple option types, such as size and color. Include at least one available variant and one sold-out variant so the behavior is visible.
For launch products, include a product that represents the current drop or restock state.
Check Common Surfaces
Review product pages on desktop and mobile. If the theme has quick view, featured product sections, or custom swatches, check those separately.
For selector-specific checks, use the custom variant picker troubleshooting checklist.
Publish Carefully
Only publish after the preview looks correct and the add-to-cart flow still works for available variants. Keep notes on the exact theme, product, and setting used.
For repeat launches, keep the launch note described in limited drops and restocks.
